Hokay, answered one UT ask, now to answer one TAZ ask before my deadlines consume me alive.
Krav asserts himself into the THB’s lives shortly after he starts seriously dating Taako. The way he handles his job gives me the impression he has a bit of a authoritarian streak– he’d rather take it easy but if he needs to put his foot down, he absolutely will. He’s very much the “set rules beforehand, do not deviate from them” sort of person and I suspect he’s had this sort of relationship before. He’s quite old, after all.
It started with Taako of course, because that boy is a brat. Taako went off on Krav, like he’s wont to do from time to time and then once he calmed down, a disciplinary spanking was his way of mending the bridge.
This meant Magnus took a step back– which I think he felt a little bummed about because I think Magnus really enjoys being Dadnus. But he still rolled with it, took great joys in teasing Taako when they were out somewhere and it was clear Taako had poked a toe out of line. But uh, then came an adventure where both Taako AND Magnus nearly got themselves killed and they were like… full on arguing as to who was in the wrong.
Aaaand then Krav appeared, grabbed both of their ears and and escorted them both back to their room at the BoB. Both got a very firm lecture and he offhandedly said he should be spanking both of them and of course poor Magnus was in tears and that was when Kravitz realized “shit I’m going to actually have to deal with both of them.” So they both got their turn over Kravitz’ knee, which was an… interesting scene.
From that point Krav’s the one who handles the spankings pretty much. Occasionally Magnus and Taako will keep each other in line but it’s much easier with Krav since there’s less of a weird power play there. Like I said, Krav has set rules in place and pretty set methods and punishments for each thing. These vary a bit depending on who’s in trouble.
Taako will pretty much ALWAYS fight, so Krav often spends a longer time cutting him down to size and basically arguing his way through deflections. Taako usually gets a hand spanking and probably a cane if he’s been particularly naughty.
Magnus won’t fight, he’s always like a sad puppy when in trouble, so Krav is usually much more gentle with him… at least in word. In deed what Magnus needs and prefers is usually something pretty heavy to deal with his guilt, so he always gets a warm-up handspanking and then paddled. There is a paddle Kravitz made Magnus carve for himself… then tested it, determined it to be too heavy, made Magnus keep working at it and testing it until he was sure it seemed right, pfft.
